Vest was a project that was both heavy and lighthearted. The mute boy is contrasted with the stimulation of the family and his surroundings. Samir and I wanted to create the tension, doing so through a real and vibrant world. With the core of this being rooted in family, the house is their home and escape at the same time. We wanted to reflect that in humour and intrigue across the look, framing and textures within the film.
